A fence is a freestanding structure designed and built to restrict or prevent movement across a boundary.

Fences are constructed for several purposes, including:
• Agricultural fencing, to keep livestock in or predators out
• Privacy fencing, to provide privacy
• Temporary fencing, to provide public safety and security on construction sites
• Perimeter fencing, to prevent trespassing or theft and/or to keep children and pets from wandering away.
• Decorative fencing, to enhance the appearance of a property, garden or other landscaping
• Boundary fencing, to demarcate a piece of real property
• residential fencing

The fence is generally distinguished from a wall by the lightness of its construction.
The wall is usually made from solid brick or concrete, but nowadays, there are fences made of plastic, but resemble precast concrete walls. The plastic fences are much stronger than vinyl.

Its strength and durability help it to stand up against the toughest abuse, including repeated hits from a baseball hurled at over 90 mph. Never the less, the fences can be decoratedy with the look and feel of natural granite stone!
